The Hermit and the Wizard

I know of a wizard
Who casts sun upon stone
Along the riverside
He goes not alone
I know of a hermit
Who wears a gentle smile
Moonlight in her eyes
Reflecting a thousand miles
Could it be so?
Nothing is undone
The light meets the shade
Dancing as one
This becomes that
Above is below
Side by side
They come and they go
Along the path
To practice the way
Light fades to shadow
Night melts into day
Shining vibrantly outward
Over the land
Silently looking inward
They quietly understand
They do not meet
They do not part
Each holding the other
A seed in the heart
They dwell together
Within one and all
Summer through Winter
Spring to the Fall
To the sun and the moon
So the great mother sang
The hermit is Yin
The wizard is Yang
